Simple keyword search for Safari
The Keywurl Safari plugin allows you to associate any sort of keyword to a search query, significantly speeding up your web browsing.
The plugin is accessible and customizable from the Safari preferences menu.
All you have to do is choose a keyword and then paste in the url you want to associate to it. Keywurl can be set to not use unicode urls, which aren't supported by all web applications.
It can also automatically encode spaces, which comes in handy when these appear as '%20' or something similar.
Normally, typing a keyword in the url address bar, brings up a website associated with this keyword.
However the advantage with using Keywurl is that you can really set up your own keywords to a url. It's especially useful if you want to have quick access to a specific page or a search query that you normally wouldn't be able to type in, simply because the url would be much too long.
The only real drawback to the plugin is the installation process. You'll have to first install the SIMBL package then drag the bundle file to its plugins folder in Application Support.

Genius.
I'm probably not going to be the biggest user, but that's coz im forgetful. it's so easy though, really simple to use, fairly simple to install (just use the readme, instead of immediately googling it like me duhh) and ur awayone small criticism, it doesn't (as far as i'm aware) instruct on how to create new keyword searches
it only took 5 minutes however to figure it out: common sense won after googling it failed: all you have to do is perform a search, take the url and then copy and paste. all you have to do then is change the query. all sounds complicated but in simple terms take ebay as an examplego to ebay.com
perform search e/g type handbag in search box and press enter
copy the page address/url of the results e/g http://shop.ebay.co.uk/handbag?_frdlpwl=1&_rdc=1
open safari preferences, click on keywurl tab
click the little plus button to add a new tag, name it "ebay"
now paste the web address/url in to the text box labelled "extension"
delete the thing you typed e/g handbag so it's now "http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_frdlpwl=1&_rdc=1"
drag the blue oval called "complete query" to the exact place where your search term was, do not alter anything else, so now it's "http://shop.ebay.co.uk/(COMPLETE QUERY)?_frdlpwl=1&_rdc=1"
exit safari prefs
now when you type "ebay" and your search terms in to the address bar, seperated by spaces, it will perform a search on ebay.com e/g browse to "ebay shoes" and it will instantly take you to "http://shop.ebay.co.uk/items/shoes?_rdc=1"Hope it works for you as easy as it did for me.
